Recently, xAI, a company under Elon Musk, has once again drawn attention. Shortly after launching a dedicated iOS app for the Grok chatbot, it announced a brand-new web-based AI chatbot. This move not only expands its functionality but also enhances user experience. Most significantly, users can now enjoy Grok's various services without needing to access X.com or have an X account.
This standalone web app is currently in the testing phase and seems quite similar to the iOS version. If we visit Grok.com, we are first asked to provide our birth year. Then, we can engage in real-time information collection, get answers to urgent questions, and even delve into image generation.
Similar to the previously released iOS version, the web version of Grok does not require users to have an X account. By clicking "Login," users can easily register using their Google account or email.
After logging in, at the top right corner, there’s a ghost icon, which allows users to switch to "Incognito Mode." Once switched, a message appears below the input box: "This chat is temporary, will not appear in your history, and will not be used to train the model. For security purposes, we may retain it securely for up to 30 days."
Beside the ghost icon in the top right corner, users will find a chat history link and a simple settings menu. At the bottom of the settings menu, users can also customize their display preferences, with options such as light mode, dark mode, or system mode.
The menu below the input box allows users to add attachments and switch among modes such as "Automatic," "Visual," "Search," and "Model Only," providing better control over Grok’s responses.
When using the free plan (i.e., not linked to an X Premium account), users encounter restrictions similar to those of the free plan. This means being able to generate 10 images every 2 hours, use 3 image analysis credits per day, and generate 4 images daily.
Here’s a look at the 4 images generated by Web Version Grok Chatbot:
The image generation feature of Grok took only 18.18 seconds to produce 4 beautiful images. This impressive efficiency is likely to attract more users to join.
Grok Chatbot’s shift towards a web platform is significant. It opens doors to a wider audience—not everyone is active on social media, and some prefer a dedicated, focused website experience. More importantly, it allows Grok to be used in places where social media may be restricted, such as corporate or educational networks.
Grok initially began as a benefit for X Premium subscribers but has since been continuously expanded. The adoption of a free mode and a dedicated website has democratized access to this powerful AI tool, enabling more users to explore the potential of this technology.
The launch of the Grok chatbot's web version provides users with a more convenient and flexible AI experience platform, expanding Grok's user base while delivering richer interaction experiences. It is predictable that this innovation will intensify competition for GrokAI in the AI field.
Considering user needs, XXAI, like xAI, has been continuously optimizing its services.
We all know that much of our daily work and study is now carried out on computers. Therefore, PC-based office tools and learning tools are very important to our lives. The current trend is to use AI tools for assistance, so we need a good PC-based AI tool. XXAI is exactly such an AI tool.
XXAI not only has multiple models, but they can also be switched freely. Most importantly, when encountering problems while using other software, users can open XXAI at any time using a shortcut to seek assistance. For example, when writing a paper, if you think the content you’ve created has grammatical issues, you can directly open XXAI for correction and insert the corrected content directly into your document.
Its functions go beyond this, and those interested in it can try it out themselves.
